Meet baby Mary, a recipient of donor milk through The Milk Bank. Her mother, Terri, tells their story:
“Our daughter, Mary, was born with a rare condition called Biliary Atresia, and it was overwhelming to learn about her diagnosis. As an under-producer when it comes to breast milk, I already knew I would need to supplement, but we never expected to face such a serious condition.
We quickly realized that the best possible nutrition was essential for her recovery, and that’s when we learned about donor milk. I felt a sense of relief knowing Mary could receive the vital breast milk she needed, especially with the digestive enzymes that formula couldn’t provide.
