As a registered nurse and lactation counselor, Beth knows the health benefits of breast milk. When she found herself with an excess of frozen breast milk while nursing her son John, she knew she wanted to donate that milk to babies in need. “I’d love to pay it forward and see if there’s other babies that could benefit from that.”
Beth found The Milk Bank, the primary milk bank of Missouri, and was able to become a milk donor very quickly. “It was such a quick process to become a milk donor from the time that I reached out stating that I was interested to actually being able to make my first donation was very fast.”
The St. Louis mom makes use of two Milk Depots to make donating her breast milk quick and easy. Her go-to Milk Depots to donate breast milk in St. Louis are located at Mercy Hospital Jefferson and Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
To nursing moms who are considering milk donation, she has this to say: “If you’re seeing your little one thrive, you can help other babies thrive as well.”
