Deybrian’s Milk Donor Journey: A Year of Sharing Love

Meet Deybrian, one of our lifesaving milk donors at The Milk Bank. Deybrian has spent nearly a year donating milk to The Milk Bank to help premature and medically fragile infants thrive.

Here’s her milk donor story, as shared in her own words:

Deybrian welcomes her daughter.

When my daughter was born, I struggled to produce any milk at all. It was hard, especially because I never experienced this struggle with my first born. Then I discovered the incredible option of donor milk.

For the first few days of my daughter’s life, she relied solely on the generous milk of another mother, and I will forever be grateful for that gift.

Making her very first milk donation.

As my milk finally came in, I was overjoyed to learn that I am an over-supplier! I knew it was my turn to give back.

Donating milk through The Milk Bank has been one of the most fulfilling decisions I’ve ever made. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of something so meaningful and to help fragile babes, it truly is such a privilege.

Celebrating her birthday with her 1,000 ounce donation!

For my birthday in May, I donated my 1,000th ounce! 5 months of commitment and thousands of ounces pumped —each drop a symbol of love, sacrifice, and connection. This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been deeply meaningful.

Deybrian makes a milk donation a few weeks before her daughter’s first birthday.

I’ve been able to nourish my own baby exclusively through breastfeeding and pumping and, through donation, offer a lifeline to fragile NICU babies. I’m proud, humbled, and so grateful for the strength to give in this way. This milestone is for my baby, for the tiniest fighters, and for every parent doing their very best.

I look forward to continuing this journey, knowing that every drop counts toward ensuring more babies get to celebrate their first birthdays!

We thank Deybrian for her dedication to saving infant lives through milk donation. Every single ounce has made an incredible difference for infants born too sick, too soon, or too small.
