Central Indiana: Free Donor Milk Available During Formula Shortage.

We know you want the best for your child & so do we! Families in Central Indiana can receive a one-time dispensation of 40oz of free pasteurized donor milk.

Babies must be six months and under and live in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby Counties. Outpatient milk is available outside of these areas.

Complete the Central Indiana intake form on this page.

Choose to pick-up from The Milk Bank or request free shipping.

Note: shipping requests must be received by 2:30pm Mon -Thur. Orders received afterwards are handled the next business day. Any shipping requests received on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will be shipped on Monday for Tuesday delivery.

We primarily support babies in the hospital, so dispensation for babies at home is based on the availability of milk (the national triage standards listed here). Free outpatient milk is also based on the availability of philanthropic support.

We follow strict safety standards for all milk dispensed. Milk donors are rigorously screened & milk is nutritionally analyzed and pooled before being pasteurized and microbiologically tested.

If you need more than 40 ounces or have any questions, call 317-536-1670 to speak to our Outpatient Coordinator or email outpatient@themilkbank.org.

We look forward to supporting you.

Generous financial supporters want to help families during the formula shortage & have paid processing fees & shipping expenses for many families. Thank you Indiana University Health, Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a CICF Fund!
