Randolph County Health Department Opens Milk Depot in Partnership with The Milk Bank
The community-based milk donation site is The Milk Bank’s 21st Milk Depot in Missouri
MOBERLY, Mo. January 27, 2026 – Randolph County Health Department has partnered with The Milk Bank to open a Milk Depot, where approved milk donors can drop off donations of frozen breast milk. Donated milk is transported to The Milk Bank – a nonprofit milk bank improving health outcomes for premature and ill infants – where it is processed, analyzed, pasteurized, and distributed to NICUs across the state.
The Milk Depot is now open to the public at the Randolph County Health Department, located at 1319 E Hwy 24, Suite A, Moberly, Missouri. Approved milk donors of The Milk Bank can drop-off donations of excess frozen breast milk Monday through Thursday anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Drop-offs are available on Fridays by calling 660-263-6643 to make an appointment.
This is The Milk Bank’s 21st Milk Depot in Missouri, and the first to open in Randolph County. “We are an organization focused on partnering with our community to prevent illness, promote wellness, and build a healthier future for Randolph County. Opening a Milk Depot with The Milk Bank perfectly aligns with these ideals,” said Lauren Hess-Noonan, RN, CPA, and IBCLC at Randolph County Health Department. “The donations of breast milk collected here will make a major impact in the health and wellbeing of fragile infants who rely on donor milk while in the NICU.”
“We are so appreciative of this new partnership with the Randolph County Health Department,” said Freedom Kolb, CEO of The Milk Bank. “This new Milk Depot will help protect the critical supply of pasteurized donor human milk needed for babies born too small, too sick, or too soon. We are grateful for their help in establishing a convenient, community-based milk donation site to expand this lifesaving work into Moberly.”
The Milk Bank must screen more than 150 milk donors every month to keep up with the need for donor milk. A virtual milk donor drive is happening through a Facebook event at facebook.com/events/917295584006305 to help Moberly and Randolph County residents learn more about the milk donation and approval process. Those interested in becoming a milk donor can be pre-screened or ask questions on eligibility by contacting The Milk Bank at (317) 536-1670 or visiting themilkbank.org/donate-milk.
